Paul Wangombe wins BRITAM GOLF TOURNAMENT at Nyahururu Country Club

Jambo, Teeboxi fam! Your favourite club correspondent here, fresh off the greens after the Britam Golf Tournament played on Saturday, 31 October 2026. What a day it was! The Stableford format certainly kept us on our toes, especially with that beast of a Hole 13 playing a full 2.05 shots over par – pole sana to anyone who tangled with that one! But then there was the friendly Hole 8, playing like a dream at 3.97.

Now for the heroes of the day! In Division 1, Simon Ngugi proved he's got nerves of steel, taking the win with 37 points, leaving John Njuguna just wishing for one more putt. Samuel Njenga wasn't just the Division 1 Gross Winner, he also clinched the coveted Overall Gross title – clearly, he left his A-game at home, or rather, on the course! But the day's ultimate champion, our Overall Nett Winner, was none other than Paul Wangombe, who also dominated Division 2 with a fantastic 41 points, gracefully beating Winnie Awour by 3 points. Albert Maara also shone brightly as the Division 2 Gross Winner.

Big congratulations to all our winners, and a cheeky pat on the back to those who didn't quite make the podium – there's always next time to blame your putter! Until then, keep those swings sweet, Teeboxi crew!
