Kristian Tiren wins ABSA BANK at Eldoret Golf Club

Jambo, golf fanatics! Your Teeboxi correspondent here, still buzzing from the ABSA BANK competition on Saturday, 31 October 2026. What a day for some serious swings! The course was certainly lively, with Hole 3 proving to be the ultimate party pooper for many, averaging a whopping 1.77 over par. But hey, at least Hole 7 was a bit of a breather!

In Division 1, Ken Serem showed everyone how it's done, taking the win with 39 points, leaving poor Wilson Kwambai two points behind to ponder his putts. Not content with just one trophy, Ken also nabbed the overall Gross Winner title – talk about a dominant performance! Division 2 saw Kristian Tiren absolutely shine, securing a fantastic 41 points and beating Edwin Cherop by a comfortable 4 points. Kristian, you also walked away with the overall Nett Winner prize, proving that consistency pays off!

Finally, our juniors showed their mettle in Division 3, with Mark Tororei (Jnr) clinching victory with 36 points, just a single point ahead of Romanus Aloo. Romanus, next time maybe you can "aloo" yourself a few more points! All in all, a fantastic day of golf, laughter, and maybe a few lost balls. See you on the greens next time, folks!
